Soils in community forums

Our SoilTalks debates and Forum

#SoilTalks

One of our ambitions is to provide a space for people to come together to ask questions, share experiences, build communities and develop new initiatives to promote and improve soil health on farms, woodlands and conservation land, and in gardens and parks in villages, towns and cities.

In February 2021 we began a series of online debates, SoilTalks. These have been well attended and our speakers have been challenged by fantastic questions from the audience. To continue the discussion of topical issues, SoilTalks is now supported by an online community forum. Eventually we hope to expand the forum into a space for wider online discussions.

A farmers' forum is already available for famers to discuss together and we do not in any way wish to duplicate this. Instead we hope our community forum may attract people from across many different communities, including farmers, to encourage greater understanding of the soil-related challenges faced by land managers. We also hope it can inspire us all to do whatever we can to promote and improve soil health, whether by buying locally, starting a new community garden initiative, trialling new innovative management approaches or creating art to inspire people of all ages.

Why not subscribe to our forum now, listen to the talks and begin a conversation?
